I just had the most productive day ever!  Well, not just, cause it was this past Saturday, but close enough, right?  This is not a bragging post where I’m gonna rattle off every little thing that I got done on my rockstar day.   But know that everything I did get done made me feel like Wonder Woman at the end of the day.
And who doesn’t want to feel like that?  Just follow my same steps to have the same results.  Here’s how!

#1 Plan

The night before, I planned out exactly what I wanted to do the following day.
But here’s the thing.  I didn’t make a mile long list.  Nope, this one wasn’t short and sweet, but it only had 10 things.  Some big, some small.   Nothing piddly like “Get dressed.”  All crap that I really had to get done.
Also, I made sure that this list was limited to things I *knew* I could get done.  Nothing on the list relied someone else to make it happen.

#2 Up and at ’em

 Even though I set my alarm for 7, I woke up at 6:30 am.  The kids start back to school this week, so the earlier time was ok by me since I’ll have to be doing it every day pretty much until Memorial Day.  But it worked in my favor to get up early and get started on the list.  There really was no time for Candy Crush Saga like I usually do in the mornings!  Getting up and getting going pretty much straight away is a must.

#3 Check In

I revisited the list throughout the day to check my progress and to figure out what to do next.
I didn’t run back to the list to cross something off as soon as I had finished it though.  I’d do a couple things and then check the list to stay focused on the day’s mission.
Truth be told, since I had my kids, my memory is kinda short.  Before kiddos, I had the memory of an elephant.  But the kids have ruined it and I can’t remember crap somedays.  So really, I needed to look at the list…

Results

In the end, I got way more done than I thought I would. Way more than just the ten things on my list.  And no, I didn’t count!
Know this: I’m not an add-it-to-the-list-just-so-I-can-cross-it-off kinda lady, so I’m not quite sure exactly how many things I got done. But what I do know is that my house is more picked up and I’m pretty happy with myself.  And that is pretty much exactly what needs to happen.
